Quade

Considered by Squid to be one of the best bands in the world, Quade are a quartet from Bristol who released their eagerly awaited debut album ‘Nacre’ at the end of 2023. With a musical universe that borrows from post-rock, post-punk, ambient and folk, the group is reminiscent of the likes of Bark Psychosis and The For Carnation.

Influenced by the Velvet Underground and Can, not least for their use of the violin, which they also play wonderfully, the Bristolians, who have supported Squid on several occasions, set the Rewire festival alight at the start of April. It’s a natural success for this band, who deliver immensely original music full of mastery and inventiveness.
