About

Gen is gradually emerging as one of the promising talents in the new francophone rap scene. After capturing attention with his EP ‘Dog Day’, released last summer, Gen followed up with the impactful Gennifer, a dense six-track project centred around a unique narrative of a romantic relationship.

His music is both direct and subtle, with lyrics that delve into introspection, as well as analysing the world around him. This creates a modern and unique offering that continues the rich legacy of French hiphop. Drawing from a rich musical palette influenced by eclectic sources, where Detroit instrumentals and electronic sounds coexist, Gen’s music is always a blend of styles without compromise.
