About

Brussels is a highway where rainbow-fueled melancholia can be found along every mile. Endless summers cherish the collective chosen chaos of the city, every corner displays its own micro-universe with buzzing insects and rare weeds, and tape hiss and AM radio compression are the soundtrack of everyday life. It’s here that Another Dancer was grown organically as well, from the indie rock and noise scene in our capital.

The band deals in utopian music – of the open, welcoming and whatsoeverish kind. It’s fresh, neurotic art-rock, deeply rooted in eighties/nineties DIY aesthetics. The songs on their debut album balance gently between forgotten pop hits and broken sound experiments. In the world of Another Dancer, any weird, random and badly synchronized sound unveils broken-hearted pop mastery. In their universe, radios are stuck to WFMU and Soulseek is a self-aware AI producing eighties psychedelic FM-rock.
